On a trip to Roatan, I visited CoCo View Resort to do a shore dive at the Coco View Wall. It is a wonderful dive and I would recommend it to all. After the dive, we changed and enquired about staying for lunch. Even though CoCo View is an all inclusive resort, they allowed us to pay and stay for the delicious buffet. Great place!

We went as a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 14 and 17 during Spring Break in March. This has become the par for any dive trips and the boys always request returning here. While I feel we are still exploring a variety of dive destinations this is one to which we will definitely return. We stayed in one of the beach houses and rode our complimentary bikes to the main lodge and dive shop each day which took all of 3 minutes but felt like an extra perk. This was because the other cabins were full and this will be our preference now on a return trip. The diving was remarkably organized with each dive boat having a corresponding set up covered area. We went to many different sites with a variety of fish, rays and these really cool squid that were all in a circle to name just a few. The night dive set up is a treat with an entire system for going out on your own in the ‘front yard”. Each day coming back into this “front yard” we jumped off the boat and dove in the rest of the way. We also loved having the fun activities around the lodge with ping pong daily, a really fun band that comes in once per week, bike riding around and of course, hanging in our hammocks with a book. The bar and bartender can’t be beat either. An all around perfect dive vacation that will be a great family memory forever.

My brother and I made the trip down to CoCo View in December. It was my second trip to Roatan having been down there with the military previously ten years previously. The diving there is superb although the water temps were colder and water clarity was murkier then when I was there in April. As a consequence my 2/3 wetsuit often left me chilled although that quickly dissipated with the inevitably warm welcome from the staff at the Coco View. Food was good and the dive staff was very professional and help.
