travel insurance – pre existing conditions
March 1st, 2019

Travel insurance which at times can feel like a waste of money can certainly feel that way – until you find you needed it! One thing to keep in mind when selecting a dive insurance provider is coverage for pre existing medical conditions. If you have what a company may find was a pre existing medical condition on your part or a family member and you did not time your insurance purchase or find that there was a provision for pre existing medical conditions indicating those were not covered, you could encounter a medical situation where that condition keeps you from travelling or interrupts your travel and you would not be covered by the insurance policy you purchased. Often insurance companies will cover pre existing conditions but only if you purchase the insurance within a set time after you make and pay for your travel and vacation resort or package costs. Something to keep in mind.
